![]() ![]() Disney declined to comment to CNN about park attendance. Iger told CNBC he did not have “long-term concerns” about Disney’s theme parks. “If you look at the numbers in Florida in 2023 … versus 2022, where not as much was open and Florida was the only game in town, there is a lot more competition today,” he added. “Florida opened up early during Covid and created huge demand, and didn’t have competition because there were a number of other places, states, that were not open yet,” he said Thursday in an interview with CNBC. Lots to think about. Here are some of the problems Bob Iger has to fix at Disney There would also be the cost of airport shuttle, which is free if you stay at Disney. If you don't stay at a Disney or Universal hotel, you won't get the guest benefits that both offer.although you might save money on accomodations. Then again there are early entrance advantages and unlimited express rides at Universal if you are a guest. If it's significantly more expensive for a different hotel just to take advantage of transportation.then might make more sense to stay put at one and take cab or paid shuttle. However why don t you check the websites or give a call to hotels to find out the cost of cabs or hired shuttle to the parks versus the price difference in hotels. The 4 days at Disney hotel and 3 at Universal could work if you don't mind changing resorts. I would get a guide to the attractions so you have an idea of the layout and which attractions you're most interested in. Your itinerary sounds good in my opinion and gives you a full day at each park to take in the sights. You may want to add an extra day as there are 4 Disney parks. Either of the latter will be substantially more costly than the transportation element of the combined deal above. If you already have admissions, then it can be done by public bus for $2 but it's indirect and takes about 90 minutes. In terms of getting from Disney to Universal, there is a good value combined ticket and transportation offering: By the time you've packed up before checkout time, and checked out moved your stuff to the next place, left it with the hotel, and then reserved enough time later on to check in and unpack again.you don't have much left for entertainment. It would NEVER be my choice to effectively "waste" a day moving hotels mid-trip. And, as you've already worked out, there is much to be said FOR staying in a Disney hotel, at least for the duration of your Disney visits. There is easily enough to keep you busy for a very full day in each I'd recommend two, in fact. ![]() Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. I have also desperately wanted to do the "world of harry potter," so in your guys opinion would one day be enough? or do you think 2 days for that park would work better?Īny help with our planning would be greatly appreciated!! Also, is one day per park enough? We are big disney fans and i have not yet done any of the Orlando parks. I like the idea of staying at the partner hotels to get the additional perks, like early admission etc. My last option is to get a deal through Costco, which includes a rental car but not one of the partner hotels, so you dont get the perks associated with them. Would this route make sense? What would be the best way to get from the Disney Hotel to the Orlando one? How much would a cab ride be? (rough estimate) My second option was to do 4 nights at one of the Disney hotels, then do the last 3 night at one of the Universal partner hotels. Would it make the most sense to stay at a Disney Hotel for the full 7 days? We werent planning on getting a rental car, so what would be the best way to go to the Universal parks each day? What would be the best way to approach this vacation? We were planning to stay at one of the Disney hotels which have free transportation to the parks and also to/from the airport. I know that the parks arent in close proximity to each other and most hotels dont offer transportation to the other parks. Our goal is to do 3 days at disneyworld (visit all 3 parks) and then 2 days at Universal Studios (visit both parks). We were planning to go in November and would be using miles for our flights. Hey everyone, my wife and i were planning a trip to Orlando just to visit Universal Orlando and Disney world.
